It’s a wide open world out there. Sometimes I get overwhelmed with all the things going on around me. Cryptocurrency, quantum computers, Afghanistan, wars, pandemic, elections, Squid Game, ice bucket challenge, …

“Oh, you haven’t heard about this movie?!”

“Didn’t you see the news? It’s all over there!”

Relax. It’s ok. Sit back, take a deep breath.

It’s okay to not be up to date on all these. It’s okay to not be aware of the next new TV series that is getting released. People won’t judge. Or maybe they will. Either way, I won’t worry about it, because it’s not my concern.

Our brain is a massive processor. There are way too many articles to count, that say why the productivity boosts up when you do nothing, why it is important to switch off and relax and so on. My take is that, it is important to also reduce the overall busyness in life, to not chase after every piece of knowledge out there, to not try and watch every TED talk or Youtube video to gain knowledge.

Not to be melancholic, but in the long run, we are all dead. Why run then? Slow down, take a deep breath, caress the rain, smell the flowers, bask in sunlight.
